“We showed up pretty late for dinner close to the closing time but the trip to this pizza place was well worth it. At first I wasn’t sure how to feel about the Thai pizza when it was placed in front of me with fresh uncooked vegetables and peanuts on top of it. One quick bite into the Thai pizza changed my mind. They pulled it off wonderfully! The salad on top of the thin crust pizza was perfectly pulled together with just the right amount of delicious satay peanut sauce. I was surprised how this very unusual pizza wasn’t soggy at all. My husband enjoyed the sliced tomatoes on top of his Margherita pizza. Nice ambience, friendly staff and delicious fresh cooked pizza right near the mall.”

“Hours are kind of weird, but my wife and I both highly recommend this place! There was only one employee who was working there when we went. He was super energetic and friendly, and just gave off the best of vibes. I recently found out that I am celiac, so I am on a strict gluten-free diet. I got the Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza and my wife got the Tuscany Pepperoni. Let me tell you-you will have NO IDEA that the gluten-free crust is actually gluten-free. It was so good! The pizza was very flavorful and cooked to perfection. We will be back (and soon), and a lot of that is owed to the outstanding employee and his help. Thanks!”

We’ve had the opportunity to donate MILLIONS of meals to children and their families all over the world that would have otherwise gone hungry through the Malawi’s Pizza Meal-for-Meal Exchange Program. Our Story

At the very heart of Malawi’s Pizza Fredericksburg, is one little family and one big dream. Behind the family and dream is a love for their community and a passion to make a difference.

The idea to bring the Malawi’s Pizza concept to the Fredericksburg region was inspired by Patrick and Rebecca’s desire for a not-your-average restaurant the entire family could enjoy. With Patrick’s expertise in the hospitality and service industry and Rebecca’s event management skills and passion for community, bringing Pizza with a Purpose to Fredericksburg was the perfect collaboration. It was the day their son, Benjamin – now 7, was born that they committed to the brand.

Within the Malawi’s Pizza Fredericksburg restaurant our guests dine under the canopy of a life-size representation of an acacia tree. The acacia tree is a symbol of safety and renewal and a representation of strength and presence. Throughout the world, acacia trees are often found growing as solitary trees on the landscape of open plains. The graceful canopy and foliage of many acacia trees is evergreen- providing shade, and supporting life throughout the year. The Malawi’s- Acacia Tree of Life embodies these ideals as a symbol of the Malawi’s Pizza Meal-for-Meal Exchange, in which a meal is delivered to a child in need for every meal purchased.

Our customized artisan pizzas are served hot and fresh from our mobile stone pizza oven with our specially created signature doughs, delicious sauces and dressings, and only the freshest toppings available!
